Introduction
Design AWS solutions around business requirements, resilience, security, performance and cost. Work through architecture decisions and build a documented design for a realistic workload.

This instructor-led course combines clear explanations with guided exercises and practical scenarios. Work through examples relevant to the subject, review alternative approaches and practise checking your results rather than relying on a demonstration alone.
You will develop a structured approach to implementation, troubleshooting and documentation. The trainer can adapt examples to the agreed learning needs and available training environment. Confirm the course duration, software or lab requirements, delivery arrangements and fees with London IT Training before booking.
This is professional development training. It does not automatically award a third-party vendor certification.

Syllabus

Course context and practical foundations
Review the course objectives and relevant concepts. Set up a suitable training environment, identify a realistic example and agree how to validate the results.

Translate business needs into measurable technical requirements. Select Regions, availability targets and a suitable initial architecture.

Design least-privilege access and a segmented network. Compare public endpoints, private access and application trust boundaries.

Compare virtual machines, containers and serverless compute. Design health checks, load balancing and scaling policies.

Choose storage and database services for access patterns. Plan encryption, backup, caching and data lifecycle controls.

Evaluate failure scenarios, recovery objectives and multi-AZ patterns. Document a recovery sequence and test strategy.

Review the design against Well-Architected principles, estimate costs and explain trade-offs to technical and business stakeholders.

Complete an integrated exercise using sample data or an isolated training environment. Test the result, document decisions and troubleshooting steps, and identify improvements and next learning objectives.
